Haley grew up in a family with multiple siblings and pets in a central Texas city but always longed for a life the country on a working farm or ranch. At her mother’s urging, she attended art school and earned her BFA in Drawing/Printmaking from Washington University in St. Louis’ School of Art with a minor in music (focusing on harp study).
Haley continues to develop her talent and learn new skills by taking workshops and classes with well-known and accomplished calligraphers and artists. She offers original art pieces and accepts commissions to create 23k gold artist nameplates and calligraphic broadsides and books and occasionally teaches. Her work often reflects her love of God’s varied creation.
The artist enjoys living in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas on a small working ranch with her husband and two sons, and numerous pets and livestock.
She is a member of local and national calligraphy guilds, the Guild of Bookworkers, and the Society of Gilders.
